Every sunset here is amazing! #maine #sunset #lake
Well, I was hoping by the time I was in my 30’s, ummmm mid 30’s….. ok, approaching my late 30’s I would know the answer to that question, but I don’t. Maybe I’m going through a pre-midlife crisis. Maybe I should get a pet. I’ve already given up looking for the “man of my dreams” so to speak.
Work is just killing me. I work 7 days a week, way too many hours to count and it’s never enough. One can’t work seven day weeks on end without ever getting a break. My cell phone rings constantly and I need to always be available. Ugh. I honestly feel I need about 2 months off to get my feet back under me. I’m so mentally and physically drained. Short of quitting, that’s not happening. I want to quit, but it’s too scary in this economy. Feeling more frustrated every day.
I wish I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up….
What’s Out There…..
It’s always important to be aware of your surroundings when out on public lands so you don’t run into any trouble. While you won’t run into x-men or Freddy Krueger on your public lands, you may run across creatures like cougars and bears, so it’s critical you prepare yourself and watch your surroundings.

I believe the Red Sox will win the World Series. I’ve said this confidently for 5 weeks now. I have a reason I believe this but can’t tell anyone why so everyone thinks I’m crazy. It’s kind of funny.
Happy Alaska Day!
Alaska Day marks the anniversary of the formal transfer of the Alaskan territory from Russia to the United States on October 18, 1867.
The Bureau of Land Management administers approximately 75 million surface acres of federal public land - from national historic trails to wild rivers to recreation areas. Now that’s something to celebrate!

I love this spot. My niece wanted to go to the painted rock.
Lake Louise in Banff. A little chatter in the background.
